Profile & Overview
As a young church plant, in many respects our Sunday services are quite simple. We order our services first and foremost to worship God. Secondarily, our services are designed to encourage the Christian towards godly living and service to our Lord. Ours is a small congregation, consisting primarily of middle-aged adults. Dress trends toward casual, though you can find anything from jeans to suits. People are friendly, so it won't be difficult to meet someone new.
Biblical Exposition
Preaching at HCC is primarily expositional, meaning that it seeks to declare the point of a particular Biblical passage. Sermons usually last around thirty to forty-five minutes and are packed with material for reflection. On a regular basis, our sermon series alternate between the Old and New Testaments. All preaching is driven by the Gospel, the Bible’s main message of God saving sinners through the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
Our pastor faithfully preaches from the Bible weekly. To make the most of your worship experience, bring a copy of God’s word with you. If you don’t have a Bible, that’s okay! Ask us and we’ll gladly give you a copy to keep.

Congregational Singing
The music we sing at HCC is a blend of old and new. We love doctrinally rich hymns and we find blessing in the choruses of modern songs. Most of us who are comfortable with music from one particular era have discovered, while at HCC, that we have come to enjoy other songs we had not previously encountered. We strongly prefer congregational singing, which emphasizes the gathered body singing praise to God with one voice, over performed music, which tends to spotlight the abilities of some while encouraging passivity in the rest.
